Sending Sweet Birthday Wishes Chocolate Wrapper by Marion

Hi there! It's Marion here with a little project using the newly released Sending My Love stamp set. Talk about a cutsie patoosie stamp set! Lots of different mixing and matching can be done with this one and it also has coordinating dies as well.

Today I have created a simple chocolate wrapper; a perfect little gift to give to someone special on their birthday.

Sunny Studio Stamps Sending Sweet Birthday Wishes Chocolate Wrapper by Marion Vagg.

To create the wrapper, I took some red card stock and trimmed it to just under the width of the chocolate box. I wrapped it around the chocolate and drew some pencil marks on the edges, so I knew where to make the fold fines with my scoring board. I made it a fairly snug fit, but still loose enough to slip on and off easily. Before adhering the wrapper ends together, I stamped some love hearts from the Furever Friends stamp set in red ink to create a subtle tone on tone effect.

The bear was coloured with Copic markers. I added some some red Stickles to the love heart to add some sparkle and some Glossy Accents to his nose.

Sending My Love Simple Puppy Dog Hugs Card by Mendi

Hello there!  How was your first day back to a normal schedule?  For those who have kids, are you the type who like to have your kids back in school or do you love the break in routine?  I'm sort of in the middle.  I loved not having to wake up early and pack lunches, but I also love having my kids in school and not sitting home bored while I work.  ;)

Today I have a simple little card I created for a friend who had lost a pet using our new Sending My Love stamps... I wanted to keep my design clean so I colored the image with Copic markers and fussy cut it out.  To ground the image I added a shadow using the solid oval found in the Sunny Borders stamp set.

For my sentiment I cut out 4 of the "hugs" word dies that come as a bonus with the Furever Friends dies, coloring just the top one with an ombre look with my Copics before stacking and gluing them together with my zig glue pen to create the look of chipboard and add a little dimenson.  :)

I hope you have a great day and check back tomorrow to see what the team has up their sleeves using this new set.  :)

Birthday Smiles Hugs Card and Fishtail Banners Love Card with Marion

Hello, it's Marion here. I hope you have been enjoying all of the inspiration from the design team this week on the blog. Today I have two more cards to share with you.

The first card uses the Birthday Smiles stamp set. Who wouldn't love a huge ice cream like this? It's hard to tell from the photo, but the ice creams are covered with some Wink of Stella clear glitter brush pen, so they are really shimmery. I white heat embossed the images onto some water colour paper and then used Distress inks to colour them.

The sentiment is from the Furever Friends die set. I die cut 5 'hugs' words and adhered them together to form a thicker sentiment.

For my second card, I have used the Fishtail Banner dies to create a modern and graphic design. I ran the banner die cut through my machine several times to create smaller arrow shapes of varying thicknesses. I adhered these to a white piece of card stock leaving random spaced gaps between the arrows. Once again the sentiment and hearts are from the Furever Friends die set.

The hearts are are covered with a layer of black Ranger Enamel Accents for some shine and dimension.

Furever Friends Purrfect Birthday Card and Tag with Marion

Hello. It's Marion here with a fun way to use the Furever Friends stamp set and its coordinating dies. If you struggle with colouring animal images or maybe you are just short on time, this technique could be one for you to try.

To begin with, I cut a panel of watercolor paper and painted a gradient of colour using Distress inks (from the top down, Barn Door, Festive Berries, Ripe Persimmon, a mixture of Ripe Persimmon/Mustard Seed and Mustard Seed). As I wanted the watercolour panel to be quite vibrant, I added several layers of each colour, making sure to heat set the panel between each layer.

I then stamped and die cut the cat from the Furever Friends stamp set from the same watercolour paper and then adhered it to the card without adding any colour. I love the contrast of the white cat against the vibrant background.  To finish off both the card and tag, I white heat embossed a sentiment onto black card stock.

Furever Friends Fur You Kitty Cat Gift Tags with Elise

Hi everyone! It's Elise to share some cute tags with you that feature the Furever Friends stamps and dies! I really enjoy puns on my cards and projects, so I was super excited to see the "Fur You" stamp and I knew that it would be perfect on a tag!

I stamped, colored, and die-cut two kitties and attached them with foam tape onto some pattern paper tags. I also added some hearts and attached those with foam tape as well. I tied some twine to the top to finish off the tags! These will look so cute on a gift to a friend! :)

Here are some close ups on my coloring on the cats. I'm not the best at coloring, but I think these cats turned out really cute! I tried to make the orange cat look it had long, shaggy fur!

Thanks for stopping by to see these tags featuring the Furever Friends stamps and dies! Stop by again tomorrow for some more inspiration!  :)

Furever Friends Sending Warm Fuzzies Card with Audrey

Hello there!  Audrey here!  Today, I'm sending warm fuzzies with the new Furever Friends stamp set!  This set is full of adorable little kitties, and all different positions, and my favorite is the sleeping kitty.  I am a crazy cat lady, with four cats of my own, and 3 of the 4 love sleeping this way!

I started off by creating a striped background.  I began with a white panel and then cut 1/2 inch strips of pink cardstock.  I used the lines on my grid mat to adhere them 1/2 inch apart to create this wide striped pattern.  Then I ran it through my die cut machine to add a stitched border and also really press down the adhesive and make sure the glued pieces stay put.

I colored my cat with Copic markers, die-cut him with the coordinating Furever Friends dies, and popped him up on a speech bubble "pillow".  His dreams are filled with love!  Then I added a sentiment from the same stamp set.  To finish things off,  I added some clear sequins with a few tiny hearts and then popped the panel up on a white card base with foam tape.

Thanks all for me today!  Thanks for stopping by! :)

"Friends Furever" Friendship Cat Card With Heidi

Hello everybody, Heidi here, welcome back to the Sunny Studio Stamps blog. This week we are introducing the “Furever Friends” stamp set and its coordinated die set.  If you are a cat lover or you have friends or family who love cats, or if you simply want to send friendly greetings to any of your friends, this is the perfect set for you. I had lots of fun coloring these kittens, they are adorable!

I created this adorable night scene with these two kittens, by blending a night sky with distress inks and then I sprinkled with white ink to create the appearance of starry sky. I adhered the die cut pieces using foam adhesive. I heat embossed the sentiment using white embossing powder and finally I adhered the panel to a white card base.

I hoped you enjoyed this card using the “Furever Friends” stamp set, come back tomorrow for more inspiration using this adorable stamp set. Don’t forget to share all your projects on social media using the #SunnyStudioStamps so you could be feature on our Sunny Saturday Share.

Furever Friends Purrfect Birthday Cat Card with Melissa

Hello Everyone, Melissa here. Today I have a card to share with you featuring the Furever Friends stamp set. I think this set is so cute! It is super hard to find cute cat stamps so these are amazing!

I decided to make a simple and fun little scene by combining the Forever Friends set with the Birthday Smiles set. To create this card I first started with a strip of white card, this panel is one layer so I laid out the stamps how I wanted and proceeded to stamp and mask them until complete. I then colored the images using Copic markers.

To finish the card I mounted it onto of some black card and then on top of some patterned paper. I think this card is super fun and easy to make and would be a great Birthday card for any cat lover!

I hope you like it.  Be sure to check back this week for more inspiration using Furvever Friends! Thanks for stopping by!

Stretching Your Stamps to Create Halloween Cards with Mendi

Hello there!  I hope you are enjoying your Sunday.  It's Mendi here today with a fun share.  This coming week the team is going to share all sorts of wonderful ideas using our Harvest Happiness stamp set so I thought it would be fun to show how you can stretch that same stamp set (and several others) to work for Halloween cards as well.

Sunny Studio Cat & Pumpkins with Moon Bokeh Halloween Card (using Furever Friends & Harvest Happiness Stamps)

My first card features a bokeh inking technique that was inspired by the great Sandy Allnock which she shared on her blog HERE. I was so inspired that I sat down and inked up some backgrounds the very same day I watched this.

The only trouble was I didn't have the magnets and my Copic airbrush on hand at the crop I was at that day so I improvised with some circles die-cut from vinyl (you know the type that you would adhere to your wall with home decor phrases) and some distress inks.  I simply laid down the circles inked on one color, moved the circles inked on a second color and repeated until I had the look I was going for.  I didn't have any purples on hand so I mixed in some worn lipstick with shaded lilac, chipped sapphire and black soot.

For the focal point images I colored in a cat from Furever Friends and the pumpkins from Harvest Happiness in with Copic Markers.

Up next I have a card that turns the house from Happy Home into a Haunted Mansion.  ;)  I love that with some simple color choices, this house easily takes on a completely different mood.

I inked up my background using scattered straw Distress ink for the moon (with a crude stencil I created by punching a piece of cardstock with a circle punch). I then set to work inking the background with wild honey, spiced marmalade, ripe persimmon distress inks, and my favorite Tsukineko Jumbo dauber.  When I was done I dropped some drops of water which I dabbed off with a paper towel to lift some of the color and then flicked on some watered-down spiced marmalade ink from the re-inker bottle.

Sunny Studio Haunted Mansion House Halloween Card (using Happy Home & School Time Stamps, Fishtail Banner Dies)

For my stars, I heat embossed 5 stars from the School Time stamp set and then added three more mini wood veneer stars which I inked up with VersaFine ink and set with some clear embossing powder.  I love how easy it was to change up the look of them.

For my little trees, I used the free download found here, but you could also get the same results by stamping the tree from the Happy Home set and cutting off the leaf portion of the tree.

I finished off my card with a handmade sentiment using white letters in a black text box in Microsoft Word and then cut the end into a "v" using the Fishtail banner diesSince none of the sets have Halloween sentiments I printed my own using my printer and the free font called Marketing Script.

I hope I've inspired you to see what fun combinations you can create with a little creative thinking.  I would love to see what you come up with.  I am dying to see your projects using any of our products--all skill levels are welcome.  You can share your creations with us on our facebook page, upload them to our Flickr Group, or share a link to your project here on the blog.  :)

Sunny Saturday Share: Pets Themed Cards By Francine

Hello there!  I'm popping in today with what I hope is the first of many Sunny Saturday Shares with some darling cards uploaded to our Flickr group by the talented Francine Vuilleme.

Francine's first card took the little dog from the Santa's Helpers stamp set and turned him into a darling everyday image.  She also paired a sentiment from the Happy Home stamp set.  I am so in love with her idea!
Welcome Home
Her next card focuses on our Furever Friends stamp set.  I love her starry background and the cute little dream bubble for the mouse and sentiment!

Friends Furever

I hope you will join Francine by uploading your own creations using our stamps and dies to the Sunny Studio Flickr Group.  Don't be shy.  You just might see your lovely projects featured on our next Sunny Saturday share.  ;)
