Guest Designer Spotlight: Cruising Critters Video with Mindy Baxter

Hello! It’s Mindy from My Creative Scoop and I’m back with another card for Sunny Studios Stamps.

I'm using the Cruising Critters Stamp Set and coordinating Die Set and I'm also using some stand alone dies. The stand alone dies really pull this card together and gives it an extra load of cuteness, in my opinion. :) I'm using the Fluffy Clouds Border Die for the clouds and also for the bushes in the background. The other stand alone die is the Cityscape Border die. So much fun!!!

I've colored my images with my Copic Markers. Here's a list of the Copics I'm using on my card.

Comic Strip Speech Bubble Cards with Vanessa and Anja

Hello everyone! Vanessa here with a fall card using the speech bubbles from the Comic Strip Speech Bubbles Die.

First, I covered the front of my card with patterned paper from the Colorful Autumn Paper. Now I trimmed a panel of watercolor paper slightly smaller than the card base. I inked the leaves from the Elegant Leaves Stamps with various Distress Inks, spritzed them with water and stamped them onto the panel. Then I added droplets of ink and let it dry.

After I had die-cut the speech bubbles from the panel, I stamped the sentiments onto them, using a mix of Beautiful Autumn, Woodsy Autumn and Woodsy Creatures, backed them with brown fun foam and adhered everything to the card. Finally, I added matching sequins.

Hello everyone, Anja here and since today I'm showcasing the Comic Strip Speech Bubbles Die, I created another card with the fabulous Super Duper Stamps. This time I went with a masculine color scheme and incorporated the two super hero boys.

I die cut the comic strip frame and the Cityscape Border Die from black cardstock. For the background, I chose the blue dotted paper from the Heroic Halftones 6x6 Paper pack and backed the cityscape die-cut with yellow cardstock.

The images were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Copic Markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I even did some simple shading at all the tiny windows ;-) 

I stamped the sentiments in VersaFine Onyx Black Ink and die cut three stars from yellow cardstock. Finally, I popped up the images and speech bubbles with foam tape.

Guest Designer Spotlight: Cards with Keeway Tsao

Hi there! It’s Keeway from Kiwi Koncepts and I’m excited to be here today to share with you some inspirations from the Fall 2019 Release! This release packed full of various fun themes.

Let’s start with the mini stamp set called Cruising Critters. These car is packed full with the cutest critters! I stamped the image in a dark brown hybrid ink and colored them with Copic markers. I also borrowed some extra images from Love Monkey to add some balloons and a floral bouquet to the mix. The image was then fussy cut out, but coordinating Cruising Critter dies and Love Monkey dies are available.

To create the city scene, I used the new Cityscape Border Die. I die cut the cityscape twice out of a blue card stock. On one of the die cuts, I gently blended white pigment ink from the top down. For the other die cut, I gently blended Faded Jeans distress oxide from the bottom up. This gave me the variations in color to get more contrast in layering them.

My background was ink blended with Broken China and Antique Linen for the top half and Ground Espresso for the bottom half. The sentiment was heat embossed in white near the top center.

Now let’s move up to the skies! For my next card I used the Plane Awesome stamps. I love how I have so many choices to on a pilot for the plane. I stamped the plane twice and picked out the dog and bear as my pilots. I also stamped two banners with my sentiment across them. These images were color with Copic markers and then die cut with their coordinating dies.

I created a cloudy background with a stencil and Broken China distress oxide inks. If you don’t have a cloud stencil, you can also easily create your own with the Fluffy Clouds Border Dies and a piece of acetate (or paper if you plan to just throw it away afterwards).

For extra dimension, I also die cut some stitched clouds using the Fluffy Clouds Die. I gently blended the bottom of each with Broken China distress oxide inks. The clouds and images were then added last with foam tape to complete the card.

Comic Strip Speech Bubble Cards with Rachel and Lexa

Hello everyone! It's Rachel here and I have a group of Super Hero Tags to share with you today! Super Heroes are quite popular right now and I can't begin to tell you how many Super Hero Birthday parties that I have had for my kids over the past few years. I also know many adults that would love a Super Hero themed card or gift as well!

For my tags today, I combined the Super Duper Stamps Set along with the new Comic Strip Speech Bubbles Die. You can't have Super Heroes without speech bubbles, right?! I adore both of these sets and they compliment each other so well! The nice thing about tags is that they are super easy to make and so versatile. You can make a quick tag to add to a gift for a favorite teacher, friend, parent, sibling, or create a bunch of Super Hero tags to add on to party favors or treat bags!

I used the Build-A-Tag #1 Dies and the new Heroic Halftones Paper Pad to create a quick and easy comic-strip style themed base for my tags. I then stamped all of my images onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic Sketch Markers. I used the coordinating Super Duper Dies to cut them out.

Lastly, I stamped my sentiments onto six different speech bubbles and then added a Super Hero and a speech bubble to each tag using some 3D Foam Adhesive Tape for some added dimension.

Hi everyone! Lexa here today with a super duper adorable birthday card using a versatile brand new dies called Comic Strip Speech Bubbles Dies. Along with the Super Duper Stamps. Let's get started.

First I die cut the Comic Strip Speech Bubbles Dies on a white cardstock then I colour each rectangles with Distress Inks (Salted Ocean, Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, Festive Berries). It gives a vibrant and colorful touch to this superheroes' card. The images are stamped with Versafine black ink and watercolor them with Distress Markers.

On the blue panel I use Cityscape Border Dies on black cardstock with a superhero flying over the buildings. It's so vibrant and fun, perfect for any boys' birthday greetings. I also add some stars to add dimensions using Primary Star Confetti.

Super Duper Cards with Anja and Vanessa

Hello everyone, Anja here and today I'm highlighting the fun Super Duper Stamps. I love these cute super hero images! They go perfectly with the Cityscape Border Die and Heroic Halftones 6x6 Papers. So I really enjoyed creating this comic style card.

I chose the orange dotty burst paper for my background and die cut the cityscape from black cardstock. To enhance the tiny windows, I backed the die-cut with grey cardstock.

Next, I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic Markers. The speech bubbles and sentiments were stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black Ink. I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out.

Hello everybody! Vanessa here with a girly card using the Super Duper Stamps. I just love this wonderful stamp set!

I started with a panel of white cardstock and inked it with pink/purple/blue Distress Oxide inks. With a white gel pen, I added stars. Now I die-cut the Cityscape Border die from black shimmer cardstock, trimmed it and adhered it. After I had adhered the panel to the card base, I stamped and heat-embossed the sentiment onto a strip of pink cardstock and added it to the card.

I stamped the girl onto white cardstock, colored her with Copics, die-cut her with the matching die and adhered her with foam tape. Finally, I added the stars to the sky.

I am sure any little girl would love this super heroine! The wonderful set makes it easy to create cards for every little hero :) See you next week, thank you for stopping by!
