Layered Poinsettias Cards with Rachel and Candice

Hello friends! It's Rachel here and I have a card to share with you today that features the new Layered Poinsettia Die Set. To start my card, I first created my poinsettia by cutting the various layers in different shades of red card stock. I also cut one layer of leaves from green card stock. In order to get the illusion of added depth, I blended each piece lightly on the edges with some Distress Ink that was slightly darker than the card stock itself.

Also, I used small pieces of 3D Adhesive Foam Squares when adding each layer to also add some more dimension. If you preferred less dimension, you'd simply need to glue your layers together. Once my flower was assembled, I set it aside and worked on my card background. Since I loved the look of the Woodgrain Embossing Folder on my previous card, I used the same technique on this card. I added some brown ink to the front panel of my embossing folder and ran a piece of 4.25"x4.25" Kraft card stock through my machine. I then layered this woodgrain piece with both a square white and green piece of card stock.

For some added interest, I die cut another piece of green card stock with the Snowflake Circle Frame Die and added this to the center of my card. I then used this set to also cut some white snowflakes as accents. For my sentiment, I used the "Wishes" word die from the Layered Snowflake Frame Die and die cut my sentiment from white card stock. I glued this piece to the front of my card and added the word "Christmas" (from the Merry Mice Stamps Set) by heat embossing it with Fine Detail White Embossing Powder onto a strip of black card stock. Lastly, I added a few small White Pearls to the centers of my snowflakes and poinsettia.

I hope you've enjoyed my card today! Wishing you all a lovely weekend!

Welcome back my crafty friends, it's Candice with you again this Friday sharing an elegant Christmas card for you today using the new Layered Poinsettia dies

The fabulous Sunny Studio Stamps products I used are:
I began my card by creating an 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 card base which will fit nicely into the size 9A envelopes.

To create my background, I die cut strips from shimmer paper with the Frilly Frames Stripes die and using the negative for a guide, glued them to a piece of cardstock that I trimmed to fit on the front.

Next, I die cut the poinsettia leaves from the same shimmer paper. I then cut out three sets of the poinsettia petals, inking each layer with chipped sapphire, then faded jeans and topped with stormy sky.

For my large sentiment, I die cut the winter wishes from silver and multiples from scrap white cardstock and layered. I then heat embossed the sentiment in silver and trimmed to create a banner. For a simple embellishment, I added a few white pearls.

Thank you so much for visiting!

Snowflake Frame Dies Focused Cards with Leanne and Eloise

Hello crafty friends, Leanne here! I been inspired by some recent early winter weather here in my area. We had our first snow of the season. So I decided to play around with dies from the Snowflake Circle Frame and Layered Snowflake Frame to create the feeling of a winter party on a card.

I wanted to make a unique background. I used two shades of green (CP Mint To Be & Garden Party ink) to create a splotchy watercolor look. I simply smooshed the ink pads onto a craft mat, spritzed with water, and then pressed a panel of Bristol Smooth card stock into the wet ink.  I dried the panel and repeated the process a few times. I then splattered thinned white paint over the entire panel.

I made my own glitter card stock to die cut the snowflakes out of. I blended Tattered Rose and Candied Apple Distress Oxide Ink onto a panel of card stock. I then applied a thin coat of Nuvo Moonstone Glitter Paste over the inked panel. Once dry, I die cut the snowflakes from the area of the panel with the shade of pink I wanted.

I trimmed the background panel slightly smaller than A2 size and adhered to a white card base. I added the snowflakes cascading down towards the left side. I also added some white pearls as a little extra embellishment. Next I adhered the greeting towards the lower right corner. I die cut the Winter Wishes greeting from white and green glitter card stock and then layered the two slightly offset. Lastly I tied white and silver twine around the folded side of the card.

Hi friends, Eloise here and today I’m using the Layered Snowflake Frame Die to create a Christmas Card. I also pulled in Feeling Frosty for some images and Santa Claus Lane for a sentiment.

I started off with stamping and colouring my images from Feeling Frosty and cutting them out. I then took two pieces of watercolour cardstock, cut them down to 4 1/4” to 4 1/4” and ink blended some blue Distress Inks on the bottom of each of them, fading to white. I then cut the Layered Snowflake Frame Die from one of them.

(Copic Markers Used: BG70, BG72, BG75, BG78 / W00, W0 / W1, W5 / 0 / B000, B00 / YR00, YR02, YR12, YR18 / YG61, YG63, YG67, G28 / V91, V93, V95, V97 / E53, E55, E57 / R000, R00)

I then added foam tape to the back of the snowflake frame and also my images. I adhered the snowflake frame on top of the other distress inked piece and then adhered my images on top. For my sentiment I used the ‘Have A Magical Christmas’ sentiment from Santa Claus Lane onto a strip of black cardstock. Tied some twine to the side of it and adhered it onto my card.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I’ll see you all next week.

Embossing Folder Focused Cards with Candice and Rachel

Hello and happy Friday to you!  It's Candice here with you sharing a subtle use of the new Buffalo Plaid embossing folder to create a soft background!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Embossing Folders Merry Mice Season's Greetings Snowflake Frame Dies Christmas Garland Frame Dies Winter Holiday Card by Candice Fisher

My card uses all new products from the Sunny Studio Stamps new release:
I wanted a subtle embossed background to create a very soft card.  I achieved this effect by using embossing pads (both of them) on top of the buffalo plaid embossing folder and using Tab 1 on my Big Shot.

I first die cut multiples of the circle and merry and layered them for a thick dimensional effect. Next, I stamped the mice, colored with Copic markers, cut out with the coordinating dies, gluing under the glitter circle and trimmed off the bottoms.

I then heat embossed the pine needles in green and cut out using the coordinating dies placing them under the circle frame with glue dots.

To finish the card, I created a banner by heat embossing the sentiment in white, inking with shabby shutters and placing the merry above. I added a few pink pearls for a pop of color.
Thank you for visiting with me and just a heads up, Sunny Studio Stamps is participating in the 25 Days of Christmas Tags and you can visit Tracey McNeely's blog to see the amazing tags created by the talented Sunny Studio Design Team on Sunday, November 10th!

Hello friends! It's Rachel here and I have a Christmas card to share with you today that features the new Woodgrain Embossing Folder. This embossing folder is amazing! I love the texture that it provides.

To get the two-toned look that I have on my card today, I stamped some brown ink onto the inside (smooth side) of my embossing folder. I then ran it through my machine once using a 4" x 5.25" of Kraft Card Stock. I then stamped my images from the Happy Owlidays Set with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the coordinating Happy Owlidays Die Set to cut them out.

I die cut a piece of white card stock using one of the Woodland Border Dies to create a snow border. Prior to attaching it to my card, I stamped my sentiment in the lower right corner and then added some sparkly white glitter to the top of this snow drift with some liquid adhesive. Although it doesn't photograph well, it gives the snow some gorgeous texture. Lastly, I adhered my images to the front of my card using some 3D Foam Adhesive Squares.

I hope you enjoyed my card today! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Layered Poinsettia Cards with Anja and Vanessa

Hi everyone, Anja here today with a new Christmas card highlighting the pretty Layered Poinsettia Die.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Layered Poinsettias Dies Circle Snowflake Frame Dies Season's Greetings Merry Christmas Card by Anja Bytyqi

I started off with a 4.5" x 4.5" white square card base. The striped paper from the Subtle Grey Tones 6x6 Paper pack measures 4.25" x 4.25". Next, I die cut all the poinsettia layers (I did the bottom layer twice) from Bristol cardstock and watercolored them with ZIG Clean Color Real Brushes. Only the top layer of the center was cut from silver glitter cardstock. All the die-cut layers stacked together create such beautiful dimension.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Layered Poinsettias Dies Circle Snowflake Frame Dies Season's Greetings Merry Christmas Card by Anja Bytyqi

I decided to create some kind of wreath design and die cut the circle frame and a couple of snowflakes from white cardstock using the Snowflake Circle Frame Die set. In the center of the circle frame, I stamped the large word 'Merry' (by masking off the word 'Christmas') from the Season's Greetings Stamps set in VersaMark Ink and heat embossed it with WOW! Metallic Platinum Sparkle Embossing Glitter. I also stamped the words ' Little Christmas' from the Merry Mice set and heat embossed them with Ranger Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder. To finish off my card, I adhered some matching crystals.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Hope you're having a wonderful day!

Hello to you! Vanessa here today with an elegant Christmas card using the Layered Poinsettia die. I love the look of Kraft + White.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Layered Poinsettias Dies Christmas Garland Frame Dies Merry Christmas Card by Vanessa Menhorn

First, I stamped the snowflakes from Feeling Frosty onto a panel of Kraft cardstock and added tiny droplets of white ink. Now I die-cut the Christmas Garland Frame die and the sentiment from white cardstock, trimmed the frame, adhered the die-cuts to the panel and adhered the panel to the card.

Then I die-cut the poinsettia from vellum, white cardstock and gold foil cardstock, assembled the flower, layered it with rustic twine and adhered it to the card. Finally, I added White Pearls.

How about you? Do you like this color combo? Thanks for stopping by today, see you next week!

Snowflake Frame Dies Focused Cards with Vanessa and Anja

Hello to you! Vanessa here today with a winter card using the beautiful Snowflake Frames dies.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Snowflake Frame Dies Circle Snowflake Frame Dies Feeling Frosty Winter Themed Card by Vanessa Menhorn

I started by inking the front of my white card base with various Distress Oxide inks. Then I die-cut the Layered Snowflake Frame Die from a panel of white cardstock and adhered it. I die-cut the snowflakes and stars from the Snowflake Circle Frame Die and adhered them.

Now I stamped the sentiment from Feeling Frosty onto a strip of black cardstock, heat-embossed it with white embossing powder, trimmed it and adhered it to the card. Finally, I added clear sequins.

These Snowflake Frames are wonderful, I love their versatility! See you next week!

------------------------------------------------------------

Hi everyone, Anja here and today I'm back again with another winter-themed card featuring the Layered Snowflake Dies. I picked nontraditional, feminine colors and one of the adorable snowmen from the Feeling Frosty set.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Snowflake Frame Dies Feeling Frosty Winter Themed Card by Anja Bytyqi

First, I did an ink blended background with warm-toned Distress Oxide Inks (Seedless Preserves, Worn Lipstick and Dried Marigold). I sprinkled on some random water droplets to lift the color here and there. To create the look of falling snow, I added white acrylic paint splatters with a brush.

Next, I die cut the smaller snowflake frame from white cardstock using an additional metal shim because of the intricate details. I stamped the sentiment below in VersaMark Ink and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. For a little bit of dimension, I adhered the snowflake frame panel over the ink blended background with foam tape. I stamped the snowman in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored it with Copic Markers. I cut it out with the coordinating die.

To embellish my card, I die cut individual snowflakes from white and golden glitter cardstock. I adhered White Pearls to the middle of the snowflake die-cuts (I colored three of them with Copics to match the gold). Finally, I added a little heart die-cut and three white Clay Snowflakes.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Until next time!
