Hello, and welcome to day 2 of our Summer Sneak Peek Week! All this week I am sharing cards showcasing our newest collection, which will be available for purchase this Friday!
Card No. 1: Today, I am sharing our new Afternoon Tea Stamps, which include a cute teapot, two different coordinating teacups, a saucer, a spoon, teabags, sugar cubes, a floral arrangement, one large Mother's Day greeting, and a number of other punny everyday greetings to enjoy this set all year long.
For my first card, I started by die-cutting a stitched panel from the Spring Fever Paper pack using the Frilly Frames Quatrefoil Dies. I then layered an embossed, scalloped mat cut from white cardstock over that, using the Frilly Frames Lattice Dies. I started by die-cutting the lacy outer edge with the outer die, then ran the mat through my die-cutting machine again with the inner die and an embossing mat so it would emboss the cardstock rather than cut it out. Lastly, I cut a stitched sentiment strip using the Slimline Pennant Dies cut from a pink gingham print found in the Gingham Pastels Paper pack. It felt a bit plain on its own, so I dressed it up by cutting small scalloped trim for both sides from lavender cardstock with the Slimline Basic Border Dies. The tiny, layered flowers I used to decorate my teapot and draw attention to my greeting are also included in the new stamp set.
Card No. 2: Next up, I have a Mother's Day card using the new Afternoon Tea Stamps. I started by coloring three teacups and saucers with floral to adorn the top of each with my Copic Markers, and then framed them all lined up with our Slimline Scalloped Frame Dies. I inked up behind the row of cups with a blend of spun sugar and picked Raspberry Distress inks, then tucked the oversized Mother's Day greeting between the last two teacups. This simple design came together quite quickly after my images were colored, and I love how it turned out!
Card No. 5: For this Mother's Day Card using the Afternoon Tea Stamps, I started by embossing a white cardstock panel using the Dapper Diamond Embossing Folder. I then trimmed a bit from both the top and bottom to allow a pink-striped print from the Dots & Stripes Pastels Paper pack to show through. This is yet another great way to use up the extra scraps you have leftover after trimming an A2 panel from a 6x6 patterned paper. I have a clear bag where I always store my scraps, and I always reach for it first when I need just a little something extra to dress up my cards.
That wraps up today's sneak peek. I'm so happy you joined me today! I'd love to give a $50 gift code to one lucky winner, who will be randomly selected from comments on this blog post and on our Facebook and Instagram posts. Our daily contests will run through Saturday, April 25th, at Midnight PST, with winners announced here on our blog on Sunday, April 26th.
Here's a closer look at our new Afternoon Tea Stamps and Afternoon Tea Dies, which will be available for purchase on Friday, April 24th.
