A Bird's Life Birthday Card with Lexa

Hi everyone! Lexa here today, finally back from a family holiday. And today I'm sharing a birthday card using an older set called A Bird's Life Stamps and the coordinating dies. This stamp set is so cute and I can't get enough of it.

Sunny Studio Stamps: A Bird's Life Sun Ray Dies Tag Topper Dies Birthday Card by Lexa Levana

I'm going to play with bright colors today. I stamped all of the images with Versafine black ink and watercolored them with Distress markers. After I finished with the coloring I used the coordinating dies to cut all of the images. I had so much fun coloring these images.

I used the largest Tag Topper Dies on the top and bottom part of my center scene. After that, I blended some Tumbled Glass and Peacock Feather Distress inks for the sky and added bright yellow stripes using the Sun Ray Dies

As for the green hills and the card base, I used patterned papers from Sunny Studio's 6x6" Striped Silly and Classic Gingham paper pad collections. I white heat embossed the sentiment on a piece of brown cardstock that was cut as a fish tail banner. I love how happy this card looks. Do you agree with me?

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you'll like this card as much as I do. Have a wonderful day everyone!

Sun Ray Dies and Sunny Sentiments Sunshine Card Duo with Lynn Put

I'm so excited to welcome Lynn Put to the blog today as our special guest. She has some gorgeous cards that you are going to just love!

Hi there! I'm honored to be a guest designer and happy to be sharing some cards that I created using some fun Sunny Studio Stamps and dies!

I created two cards using the adorable Sunny Studio's stamp set Sunny Sentiments along with the coordinating Sunshine Word Die and Sun Ray Die sets.

For my first card, I stamped one of the cute sunshine images from the set along with three of the cloud images onto white cardstock and colored them using Copic markers and then cut them out. Next I did some ink blending onto a panel of white cardstock using tumbled glass, mustard seed and spiced marmalade distress inks.

After that, I blended the same yellow distress inks onto a piece of yellow cardstock and used the Sun Ray Die to die cut them out. I adhere my die cut sun rays onto my ink blended panel, making sure to leave room for my stamped sentiment. I added my clouds and sunshine images next, popping up the sun and one of the clouds using foam tape and then stamped my sentiment along with three yellow stars.

I used the Sunshine Word Die and die cut that from black cardstock and adhered that below my stamped sentiment. I added a vertical strip of yellow cardstock to a white card base and added my decorated cardstock panel using foam tape. As a final touch, I used some icicle Stickles to the three stamped stars and some Wink of Stella glitter pen to my sun rays.

For my second card, I used a piece of watercolor paper and watercolored some yellow and orange for the area I knew I wanted my sunshine and some grays and dots of aqua for where I wanted my clouds and rain drops. I stamped the same sunshine and cloud images on to white cardstock again, coloring them with Copic markers and cutting them out. Then on a scrap piece of paper, I die cut one of the sun rays using the Sun Ray Dies and used it as a stencil, using mustard seed and marmalade distress inks, over the area I knew I was going to place my stamped sunshine image.

Next I used the same yellow distress inks onto a piece of yellow cardstock and die cut my Sunshine Word and adhered it to my panel, then stamped my sentiment and rain drops and adhered my clouds and sunshine, popping up the sun and one cloud with foam tape. I used a white card base with a strip of yellow cardstock along the bottom and adhered my panel using foam tape. For some added detail, I used some Glossy Accents on the rain drops and did dots of yellow Stickles on the sun rays.

Pirate Pals Masculine Themed Pirate Card with Amy

Ahoy mateys! Amy here to share a masculine card using the new Pirate Pals stamp set and its coordinating dies

Sunny Studio Stamps: Pirate Pals Masculine Themed Pirate Card by Amy Yang

To create the background, I used a star die to die-cut white cardstock, and used the negative as the backdrop of the card. I also used the Stitched Scallop dies to add waves to the background as well. I distressed all the cut pieces with Distress Inks, and added white splatters and lines to the card. I thought it'd be fun to have a moon in the scene, so I used a circle die from Sun Ray Dies to die cut white cardstock. After, I adhered all the background pieces to a folded note card and framed it with an A2 size white cardstock that has been die-cut with an oval die.

To create the beachfront, I die-cut white cardstock using the wavy die from the Oceans Of Joy dies set. I distressed it with Distress Inks, and added splatters of ink and water for a textured look. I stamped the sentiment "You Are A Treasure" from Pirate Pals with Versamark, and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

I stamped images on this card from Pirate Pals, colored them in with Copic markers, and cut them out with coordinating dies. To finish, I adhered all the images to the card front.

I got my son's approval for this card, hopefully you like it too. Thank you for stopping by the blog today!

Heartfelt Wishes Pretty Pastel Birthday Wishes Card with Amy

Hello everyone! Amy here to share with you a sweet birthday card featuring the Heartfelt Wishes stamp set with the coordinating Wishes Word Die

Sunny Studio Stamps: Heartfelt Wishes Pretty Pastel Happy Birthday Card by Amy Yang

To begin my card, I used a circle stencil I made by die-cutting acetate with two smaller circle dies from the Sun Ray set. I used pastel dye inks to color in the circles with a sponge dauber on trimmed smooth white cardstock. Then, I stamped the sentiment from Heartfelt Wishes to the panel using black ink. Next, I die-cut the word "wishes" using the Wishes Word Die five times on white cardstock and adhered them together. I used darker pink dye ink to color the word with a sponge dauber and adhered it to the panel.

I stamped the cupcake with a candle from the Birthday Smiles stamp set and colored it with Copic markers. To finish, I fussy cut the image, added dimensional adhesive behind it, and adhered it to the front.

Thanks for visiting the blog today and have an awesome day!

A Bird's Life No Place Like Home Card with Lexa

Hello everyone! Lexa here with a colorful card featuring the brand new A Bird's Life stamps and coordinating dies. All the fancy bird houses and those little birds...I just can't! Since I couldn't decide which one was my favorite, I decided to use them all.

I start with 4.25"x6" white cardstock and blend some Tumbled Glass and Peacock Feather Distress Inks, I flicked waters with my finger to create the splatter effect. The card base is slightly taller than I usually use because I want to create a scene with the bird houses hanging to tree's branches. The sunny sky is a perfect weather for the birds to having some fun. I die cut SunRay dies on yellow cardstock and it turns out sooo cute!

I stamped all my images with Versafine black ink and watercolor them with Distress Markers. After I finished coloring, I die cut all the images with the coordinating A Bird's Life dies. The thin white outlines are so perfect. I add rosy cheeks for the birds...they are adorable beyond words.
