Slice Of Summer Cards with Leanne and Eloise

Hello everyone, Leanne here! I have definitely been channeling some summer vibes into all my cards lately. This is pretty easy to do with a fun summertime stamp set like Slice of Summer. I concentrated on the lemon/lime image in the set and created a festive birthday shaker card.

This is a pocket shaker card. They are so easy to make if you haven’t tried one. All you need is a 5 1/2" x 7 3/8” clear stamp storage pocket. Insert an A2 size card stock panel and fill with sequins. I used a bright pink card stock panel and white heat embossed part of the greeting onto it before slipping it into the pocket. After I filled with sequins and star confetti, I folded the top half of the pocket over and secured it to the back. I then adhered the closed pocket to an A2 card base.

To decorate the outside I added a white scalloped frame and several stamped whole and sliced limes from the Slice of Summer set. I also used a tiny flower image from Fabulous Flamingos to decorate the limes. I used small glue dots to adhere everything on to the front of the pocket shaker. I have found that glue dots stick very well to the smooth pocket surface.

Lastly, I completed the greeting. I die cut the letters to spell birthday with Loopy Letters. I adhered the letters together on my cutting mat using the grid lines to keep them straight. I then adhered the word to pocket with Ranger Multi Medium Matte.

Hi friends, Eloise here and today I’ll be sharing a ‘You’re One In A Melon’ card using the Slice of Summer Stamp Set.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Slice Of Summer Watermelon You're One In A Melon Card by Eloise Blue (using Summer Splash 6x6 Paper)

To start off I used some coloured inks to stamp down four watermelons from Slice of Summer. Once they were all stamped, I cut them out and added foam tape to the backs.

(Altenew Inks Used: Jet Black / Bamboo, Parrot, Olive / Frosty Pink, Coral Berry, Ruby Red)

I cut down a white card base and adhered a piece of yellow striped patterned paper into the centre from Summer Splash. I then adhered my watermelon slices in a circle patterned in the centre.

For my sentiment I used the ‘You’re One In A Melon’ and white heat embossed it onto a strip of black cardstock. I cut around the Melon’ word with fine detail scissors so my strip wouldn’t be as thick. I then adhered it into place and added a twine bow around the right and side of the sentiment.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I’ll see you next week.

Sweater Vest Dies Cards with Rachel and Lexa

Hello! It's Rachel here and I am so excited to share with you a couple of different ways to use the Sweater Vest Dies. Not only is this die perfect for Christmas time, but it works well with Father's Day and masculine birthdays as well!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Sweater Vest Dies Loopy Letters Dies Father's Day Masculine Cards by Rachel Alvarado and Lexa Levana

I went with two separate designs today that share a lot of similarities but look extremely different. The first one is a military tactical vest. I have two brothers that have served in the United States Marine Corps, and I had them in mind when creating this. I used some 12"x12" camouflage paper from Hobby Lobby and then used the dies to create my base. I added some pockets by simply using both a basic rectangle and square die and then rounding the bottom edges with a corner punch.

I added some "material" to the top of each pocket by die cutting some more camo with the long ribbed die that comes with this set. I also created some dog tags by die cutting some mirror paper with the teeny tiny, half circle looking die that comes with the Sliding Window Die. I cut them from mirror card stock and then attached them to some beaded string and then glued them to my card.

My second card is a fishing vest. Both my husband and my dad love to fish and this style card would be perfect for either one of them. I used the Loopy Letters Dies to create the word "dad" but you can customize it however you like.

I used the same technique as above to create all of my pockets except for the very tiny ones. For those, I used a very small square die and then used that same small half circle die from the Sliding Window Die Set to cut the bottom of each square to resemble a pocket. For the larger pockets, I once again used the corner punch. I actually used the v-neck die and cut it to size to add some top trim to the pockets. For some added interest, I also adhered some brown cord behind each pocket to resemble zippers and compartments like most fishing vests have.

I hope you enjoyed these cards today! Thanks so much for dropping by and have a wonderful weekend!

Hi everyone! Lexa here today with a dad's card using Sweater Vest Dies. But instead of using it as a vest shaped card, I'm trying to stretch out my creativity to create a square one. It's a simple and clean card which is a perfect style for the man of your life.

I use this color combination, dark grey, blue and purple. I cut a 4.25"x4.25" light blue cardstock and a strip of 2.5"x4.25" purple cardstock. I use the dies to create diagonal holes along the purple stripe and some dark grey diamonds and the bow tie. I adhere the diamonds with foam tapes to create dimension.

The alphabets are cut using Loopy Letter Dies and they look so gorgeous! This is actually my first time using this dies and I'm pretty sure that I will use it more often from now on. I use the blue stripes patterned paper from Striped Silly 6x6 Paper Pad

Here's the closer look of my card. It's easy and simple, I hope you get inspired. Thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope you have an amazing day!

Sweater Vest Cards with Eloise and Leanne

Hello friends, Eloise here and today I have a Father’s Day Card using the Sweater Vest Dies along with the Silly Sloths Stamp Set.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Sweater Vest Dies Silly Sloths Loopy Letters Dies Team Player Happy Thoughts Shaped Cards by Eloise Blue and Leanne West

I started off with die cutting the Sweater Vest Die from some navy cardstock and a few of the accent dies from green, white and brown cardstock. I also die cut an additional panel from brown cardstock as well. I ran through the brown and navy pieces with the Cable Knit Embossing Folder to give it some texture as well. I cut down the brown panel, added some foam tape and adhered it on the top of the navy piece. I also added liquid glue to the accent pieces and adhered them into place as well.

I then stamped the sloths from the Silly Sloths Stamp Set and coloured them in with Copic Markers. I then cut them out. I added foam tape to the sloths and liquid adhesive to the leaves and adhered them into place on the brown panel.

Lastly, I white heat embossed the ‘You’re So Slothsome’ sentiment onto a black strip of cardstock and adhered it down in the middle of the scene.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I’ll see you next time.

Hi everyone! Leanne here to share an idea I had for customizing some Sweater Vest cards. Tis the season for grads and dads which led me to this idea. For today’s cards, I’ve customized them with the school colors from my college alma mater and my husband’s favorite pro football team.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Sweater Vest Dies Silly Sloths Loopy Letters Dies Team Player Happy Thoughts Shaped Cards by Eloise Blue and Leanne West

I think these custom Sweater Vest cards could be used for more than just graduation and Father’s Day. They would be great as a birthday card too!  And the best part is that they are so quick and easy to make. Just pick out card stock colors in the recipient’s high school, college, or favorite pro sports team colors.

I used the Loopy Letter dies to create the names. One tip I have for getting them nice and straight is glue the letters together on a cutting mat with grid lines. That way you can use the grid lines to line up the letters up as you glue and it’s much easier to add the complete name onto the sweater vest.

I wanted to add something that would resemble a little price tag to the outside of these cards so I used a tiny die cut tag and stamped a sentiment. The sentiments I used are from the Team Player stamp set

On the inside of the Bears sweater vest card, I stamped "Happy Father's Day" using the Happy Thoughts stamp set and added a football image which is also from the Team Player stamp setYou could even take it a step further and add a mascot image to either the outside or inside of these cards if you have a stamp that fits the bill. Really the sky’s the limit with customizing these sweater vest cards. Just have fun with it!

Sweater Vest Dies Cards with Mona and Franci

Hi crafty friends! It's Mona here, today I am showing you a funny card with the Sweater Vest Die and Breakfast Puns stamp set.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Sweater Vest Dies Loopy Letter Dies Breakfast Puns Happy Thoughts Cards by Mona Toth and Franci Vignoli

I started the card making with die-cutting. I made the card front from blue cardstock and ran it through the Cable Knit embossing folder. Next I made the other vest elements from mustard yellow cardstock and adhered them to the right place.

The next step was stamping and coloring. I stamped the images with the Breakfast Puns stamp set and colored them with my Copic Markers. After the coloring I fussy cut them.

I styled the colored images on the card, and made "the vest" words with Loopy Letter Dies from the same mustard cardstock.

I added a white embossed sentiment to the center of my card and added some shiny and sparkly tiny stars and sequins.

Hello there and happy Wednesday! Franci here with you today with a summer card full of ... bikinis!! I'm so excited to show you this project because it's a super fun chance to stretch your supplies and create something that's completely different :)

Sunny Studio Stamps: Sweater Vest Dies Loopy Letter Dies Breakfast Puns Happy Thoughts Cards by Mona Toth and Franci Vignoli

I'm in love. With the design, the size, the colors, the details ... it's all so much fun!
Can you believe it I created my bikinis with the Sweater Vest set?! Yeah, I can tell you! I also used the Loopy Letters for some details and I'm so happy about these turned out!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Sweater Vest Dies Loopy Letter Dies Breakfast Puns Happy Thoughts Cards by Mona Toth and Franci Vignoli

First of all I created my card base out of white cardstock and I cut out a slightly smaller panel that I masked and colored by sponging Distress Inks to create this fun and colorful design. I also let the ink completely dry, I stamped my sentiments from the Fabulous Flamingos set and the Happy Thoughts one, and then I added some sprakle watercolors little splatters here and there.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Sweater Vest Dies Loopy Letter Dies Breakfast Puns Happy Thoughts Cards by Mona Toth and Franci Vignoli

I die cut all my bikini tops and bottom out of some of the new Summer Splash papers and more out of white cardstock. I used the little shirt collar die for all the tops and the v-neck one for all the bottoms, then I also die cut additional tops or bows to decorate my bikinis! It was so much fun, Project Runway I'm ready! Ha!

I also added more details as the die cut "bow centers" that were foiled in gold and also epaulets and laces that were die cut out of white cardstock using the Loopy Letters dies.
Can you find the number 7 as a decor in one of the bottoms?! And the epaulets are all F letters! There are sooooo many combinations possible and hope you'll have fun creating your own bikini design following my card as inspiration!

To complete my project I finally glued down all my swimsuits with foam adhesive and added some clear sparkle sequins.

I really hope you enjoy this card and thank you so much for stopping by! Have a lovely day!
