Frilly Frames Die Focused Cards with Franci and Ana

Hi there! Franci here with you today with a cute card showcasing one of the new Frilly Frames dies.

First I die cut my Frilly Frames Retro Petal out of white cardstock and I created a card base to match. I added some gold watercolor soft splatters to the front of my card, I let it dry and then I glued my die cut on top with liquid glue. I think this white on white design make my die cut background pop without being too much and I really like it :)

I also stamped, colored and die cut this cutie from the Woodsy Autumn set and I love this raccoon and all his apples, there's something about raccoons that makes me smile all the times!! I also cut out a stripe of white cardstock, colored with red Copics to match the apples, let it dry and white heat embossed my sentiment on.

I die cut the Hello word die out of white cardstock and white foam tape. I colored the paper die cut to match my raccoon scarf and I glued everything together to have a dimensional element. I glued everything down to my card and added some details with a white gel pen.

Hello everyone! Ana here today with an elegant card featuring beautiful Frilly Frames Retro Petals dies. I just love this new addition to Frilly Frames family of dies and the gorgeous retro petal background it creates when die cut!

I started with die cutting a piece of white cardstock with Retro Petal Die then added wide post-it tape to the back to keep all the pieces in place. I then inked the entire panel with VersaMark Watermark sticky ink, and sprinkled WOW embossing powder (Mayan Glintz) all over the panel, melted the powder and set the panel aside.

I created the second white die cut panel by combining Frilly Frames Retro Petals die and scalloped mat from Frilly Frames Hexagon die. I love that the entire Frilly Frames line can be mixed and matched for creating variety of different designs. For the sentiment (from Elegant Leaves stamp set), I heat embossed Thankful and For You on white cardstock, fussy cut the word Thankful then adhered it to the vellum strip.

I popped all the petals out of the first embossed panel and adhered them on the second white background using foam tape, creating the flowers. I added crystals to the center of each flower then adhered the sentiments to the bottom of the panel.

Sunflower Fields Cards with Anja and Vanessa

Hi everyone, Anja here and today I'm showcasing the Sunflower Fields Stamps which is another awesome layering stamp set.

I started with a light aqua A2 card base and did some gradient ink blending on a piece of textured watercolor paper. The Distress Oxide Ink colors I used are Wilted Violet, Dusty Concord and Milled Lavender. I cut out the panel with a stitched rectangle die which is included in the Frilly Frames Retro Petals set. I stamped the sentiment in VersaMark Ink in the bottom right corner and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder.

Next, I stamped all the layers of the sunflower, leaves and bees (can you see how small those are?!). You can find all the inks I used listed below. I cut out the images with the coordinating dies and adhered them to my card. I popped up the sunflower and bees with foam tape. To finish it off, I added golden glitter enamel dots and Nuvo Jewel Drops in the color Pale Periwinkle.

Hi everybody! Vanessa here today with a CAS card using the beautiful Sunflower Fields set. Mendi creates the most beautiful layered stamps, it amazes me every time!

I first stamped the sunflower onto a panel of white cardstock and masked it, then I stamped the leaf and the bee. Now I die-cut the Hello Word Die from the panel, raised it with brown fun foam and adhered everything to my card base that I had covered with brown cardstock. Finally, I added clear droplets.

That sunflower is so pretty, I love all the shadows! For my stamping, I used the following inks: Flower: MFT Sunshine, Hero Arts Butter Bar, Hero Arts Pumpkin Pie, Hero Arts Cup O'Joe, Tsukineko Tuxedo Black; Leaf: MFT Sour Apple, Distress Ink Mowed Lawn, MFT Green Eyed Monster

Frilly Frames Focused Cards by Leanne and Eloise

Hello and happy Monday! Leanne here and I have a frilly thank you card to share today. I love all the different Frilly Frames dies and how they can help add texture and interest to any card. My card today showcases the Retro Petals Filly Frames. 

I started with a white A2 size card base. I added a panel of light green card stock cut slightly smaller. I then layered the die cut Retro Petals panel over top.

Inks used for the rose and leaves: Altenew Cherry Blossom and Tropical Forest ink cube sets

Next I stamped out the greeting on a wide strip of white card stock. The greeting is from the Elegant Leaves stamp set. I then stamped out a rose, leaves, and a few tiny flowers from the Everything's Rosy stamp set. I adhered the stamped images with some tucked under the greeting strip.

I wanted to make this card extra special so I added some embellishment. I used Cloud 9 Nuvo Dream Drops to dot the centers of the petal pattern. I also added a few pink sequins I found in my stash that coordinated perfectly with the pink ink used to stamp the rose.

Hi friends, Eloise here and today I have a card to share with you all using the new Frilly Frames Sets. I used both the Hexagon and Retro Petal Sets. I paired this with the Hello Word Die as well as an additional sentiment from Plane Awesome.

I started off with creating a card base from the scallop frame in Hexagon Frilly Frames. I cut two from white cardstock, used a scoring board to score the 0.5” from the top on one and added adhesive. I then lined both up and adhered them together. I then die cut the Retro Petals out of 7 colours of cardstock and added foam tape to the backs of all of them. I also die cut the entire background out of vellum as well.

I laid the vellum piece over the top and then adhered in the petals. This way I could get them laid out correctly and rip the vellum off when I’m done. I then die cut the Hello Word Die from white and black cardstock and adhered them together a little offset.

Lastly, I white heat embossed the ‘I Miss You’ from Plane Awesome onto a strip of black cardstock and adhered it inside the Hello Word. I then added adhesive onto the back and adhered it onto the background.

Embossing Folder Focused Cards with Juliana and Angelica

Hello friends! It's Juliana here today to share a mixed media style card featuring the new Lots of Dots Embossing Folder.

To get started, I die cut a piece of Bristol Paper using the stitched border die from the Frilly Frames Retro Petals Die. I then embossed this using the Lots of Dots Embossing Folder. Next, I took a rainbow of Distress Oxide inks and applied them at a diagonal  rainbow order across the embossed paper. For this card I used Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch, Mowed Lawn, Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemon, Picked Raspberries and Candied Apple. I then splattered water onto the paper using a small paint brush and dabbed it dry with a paper towel.

To further add to the mixed media style I then splattered a slightly darker Distress Ink onto each section. I used Seedless Preserves, Faded Jeans, Peeled Paint, Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed, and Festive Berries. To do this, I tapped the ink pad onto my glass mat, added a bit of water and then picked up the ink and water with a small paint brush and splattered it into the corresponding section of color.

Once the background was complete, I then went about adding the sentiment. I die cut the Rainbow Word Die from black cardstock 3 times and glued them together. I then stamped the sentiments from the Over The Rainbow Stamp Set onto white cardstock and trimmed it into small strips.

Since you can't have a rainbow without a little rain, I decided to add some clouds cut from white cardstock using the Fluffy Clouds Dies. I then finished it off with some Clear Drops Mix #2 to represent the rain!

Hi friends, Angelica here with a set of Hello cards showcasing the Moroccan Circles Embossing Folder. These cards are great to have on hand, and are an easy gift to make for a loved one. 

I started with three panels of white card stock. I put each panel into the embossing folder and ran it through my die-cut machine. I picked the back-side of the embossed panels to add ink to. 

I used ink cubes to add color. I picked a light and a medium light ink from a few Altenew color families. I rubbed the the ink cubes directly onto the paper, using light pressure in a circular motion. I blended light into medium light twice on each panel. Once I was finished, I set the panels aside to dry.

I used the Hello die to die-cut twelve words from black card stock. I glued and stacked two words together for each card. I made six card bases, and used my MISTI to stamp a sentiment onto each card from the Cute As A Button stamp set.  

My last step before assembling the cards was getting envelopes ready. I picked coordinating colors, put the back flap of each envelope into the Moroccan Circles embossing folder, and ran them through my die-cut machine. 

I cut each panel down to two small rectangles, and used double-sided adhesive to attach the rectangles to the card bases. I added the words with glue to finish the cards. 

I love how these cards turned out. And the embossed envelopes finish the set with a wonderful subtle touch. hope I have given you new ideas on how to use embossing folders. Thanks for stopping by!

Elegant Leaves Cards with Ana and Franci

Hello everyone! It's Ana here today sharing three cards featuring gorgeous Elegant Leaves stamps and coordinating dies as well as patterned paper packs from the newest fall 2019 release.

For my first card I have used Elegant Leaves stamp set and Staggered Circles Dies. To start, I have placed Staggered Circles Die on a piece of white cardstock and penciled the placement of each circle. I aligned the stamps onto each circle next, then used mini ink pads to create multiple colors on each leaf.

This technique is easy to achieve if you have a stamping platform and don't mind getting your fingers inky! As I stamped each color, I wiped off the rough edges mini ink cubes created. I started with the darkest color in the middle of each image and worked my way out to the lightest, making sure the colors mix. I did not clean the stamp between each color.

For the colors, I used several different brands of inks in dark and medium browns, rust, mustard, dark yellow and green.

Once all the stamping was done, I die cut circles using Staggered Circles Dies and adhered the panel on a piece of beautiful patterned paper from Colorful Autumn Paper Pack. I heat embossed the sentiments, added some splatter and few pearls to finish the card.

I decided to make a shaker card for my second project. I used Colorful Autumn Patterned paper for the background. I die cut a circle in the middle creating a shaker opening and backed the panel with patterned paper from Heroic Halftones Patterned Paper pack. For my shaker elements, I used rainbow Clay Flower Confetti. 

I stamped the Thankful sentiment (from Elegant Leaves stamp set) with 3 shades of blue ink, creating an ombre effect, then fussy cut it out. The leaves were stamped with brown ink, colored with alcohol markers then tucked behind the sentiment. I white heat embossed the rest of the sentiment.

Completed panel was adhered to A2 size card base.

For my third card I used Stitched Oval Dies to create white oval frame as well as an opening in the brown background panel. I used Dapper Diamonds Embossing Folder to create the pattern on the background panel then added white oval frame with foam tape.

I heat embossed the sentiment directly on the card base, added some shading with Vintage Photo Distress Ink around the sentiment, then adhered the background panel to the card base.

I heat embossed the leaves from Elegant Leaves stamp set, colored them with alcohol markers and die cut with coordinating dies. I arranged the leaves around the oval frame, tucked few inside of the frame, them embellished the card with brown gems.

Hello there and happy Wednesday! Franci here with you today with my first card featuring the new release which I adore!! Here I'm showcasing the new Elegant Leaves set with a special card, totally out of my comfy zone but super fun to make!

First of all I stamped all the leaves on to my white panel, I let them dry completely and I watercolored them with light colors. I also added some sparkle watercolors splatters here and there. I had this idea in my mind: making a dreamy fall leaves patterned paper - I'm so happy about how it turned out.

Then I die cut the word Hello twice out of chocolate cardstock, I glued the layers together and added a coat of Glossy Accents. I also die cut a little heart out of sparkle gold paper using the mini die included in the Comic Strip Everyday Dies set. 

I glued my panel on to a white card base, I added some white twine, some vellum and glued everything down. Finally I also added some white embellishments.
