Happy Camper Pencil Colored Happy Place Card with Vanessa

Happy Thursday! Vanessa here with a kraft card using Happy Camper. I first played around with paper-piecing, but then decided to use colored pencils.

To start, I stamped the images onto my Kraft panel, using light brown ink (the trees are from Gleeful Reindeer). Then I colored everything with Prismacolors, matted the panel with pink striped patterned paper from the Striped Silly 6x6 Paper pad and adhered the panel to the card base.

Now I stamped the sentiment onto a strip of white cardstock, layered it with a strip of pink patterned paper and adhered it.

Cascading Stars Night Sky Framed Background Card with Juliana

Hello friends it's Juliana Michaels and today, I'm sharing a happy little card using some of the new stamps and dies from Sunny Studio Stamps including the Cascading Stars stamp set. I choose to use this stamp set in a rather traditional way and create a night time sky by combining it with an image from the Critter Campout stamp set.

To begin, cut a piece of the teal patterned paper from the Classic Gingham 6x6 paper pad to 4.25 x 5.5 inches. Adhere it to an A2 sized card base. Next, use the middle sized die from the Fancy Frames Rectangle dies to cut a frame from white cardstock. Use one of the banner dies from that same die set, and cut out a banner from white cardstock. Stamp your sentiment using the Happy Camper stamp set.

Now to create the scene inside the frame. Stamp the Cascading Stars stamp onto white cardstock using an embossing ink such as Versamark. Sprinkle it with white embossing powder and heat set it using a heat gun. Use a foam blending tool to apply Distress Oxide Inks in Black Soot, Wilted Violet and Salty Ocean to the cardstock. These colors are great for creating a night time sky!

For the grass along the bottom, die cut a piece of white cardstock using the grass die from the Sunny Sentiments die set. Apply Distress Oxide Inks in Peeled Paint and Twisted Citron to give it a nice green grass color. Cut the sky piece to fit behind the die cut frame. Adhere the grass piece to the bottom of the sky and trim off any excess.

Take the banner with the sentiment and adhere it to the sky piece. Again, trim off any excess. Now you are ready to adhere the frame using your favorite adhesive.

For the final touch, stamp and color the adorable little skunk from the Critter Campout stamp set. Then die cut him using the coordinating die set. Use a piece of double sided foam adhesive to adhere it to the card front and to give it a bit of dimension. Your night time sky scene is now complete!

Happy Camper Adventure Themed Happy Place Card with Eloise

Hi everyone, Eloise here and for today's card I'll be using the Happy Camper stamp set along with some watercolours to create a super simple adventure themed card.

To begin my card, I started off with all the water-colouring. I pulled a piece of watercolour cardstock out from my stash and painted a circle in the middle with clean water. I then dropped in some black, dark blue and also some light blue to create that night time look. Once I was happy with my background, I set it off to the side to dry. 

Then for my trees, I took an additional piece of watercolour paper and used two shades of green to just colour randomly onto the piece. I then set them off to the side to dry as well. For my camper van, I decided to use my Zig Clean Colour Real Brush Markers. I used several toned down colours for it. Once that was coloured I dried all of my pieces and cut them out using the coordinating dies; which for this set has a tree die that I used for the green piece I coloured earlier.

Now that all my pieces were ready I added adhesive onto the backs of my trees and onto my camper van and adhered them into place around the circle scene. I then stamped the sentiment 'Go To Your Happy Place' onto the top of my scene with black ink. To finish off my card I used a piece of purple  patterned paper from the Classic Gingham Paper Pad and adhered it onto a card base.

Guest Designer Spotlight: Cards with Anita Madden

Hello everyone, it's Anita Madden here! I’m so excited to be guest designing for Sunny Studio Stamps today!  I love this latest release and I used three stamps sets to create today’s cards.

I used the Beach Babies stamp set for this card. I also used the palm tree from the Island Getaway stamp set. I colored all the images with Copics and then die cut them using the coordinating dies. I sponged distress inks onto Strathmore paper to create the “sand” and the “ocean waves”. I die cut a large circle in my card front and used a stencil and distress inks to create the clouds behind the waves. I used foam tape to adhere the card front on to my card base, and I used foam tape to adhere all the beach babies and accessories.

I also used the Beach Babies stamp set for this card. The fun pattern paper is from the Rainbow Bright 6x6 Paper. This paper pack is so fun – it’s full of bright patterns. I cut the sentiment tab from paper from the Silly Stripes 6x6 Paper. I colored the boy and his jet ski with Copics and then die cut him using the coordinating dies. I used distress inks to create a wave, and I used distress inks and a stencil to create sun rays on a die cut circle. I adhered the boy with foam tape to add some dimension to my card.

I used the Happy Camper stamp to make this card but went for a night scene on this card.  I colored the camper with Copics and die cut it using the coordinating die. I sponged distress inks on Strathmore paper to create the grassy area, night sky, and the moon. I also die cut the pine trees from the inked paper. I flicked some white acrylic paint on the sky and assembled my card with foam tape. I used white embossing powder and heat-embossed the sentiment. 

I used the Happy Camper stamp on this card. The sweet heart pattern paper is from the Rainbow Bright 6x6 Paper. The “grass” was cut from paper from the Striped Silly 6x6 Paper and the sun was cut using paper from the Polka-dot Parade 6x6 Paper. I colored the camper with Copics and die cut it using the coordinating dies. I used distress inks to stencil some clouds onto a die cut circle and adhered the grass. I used foam tape to adhere the camper, sun and sentiment strip. I would love to have a camper just like this one … it would be so much fun!

For my last card I used the Critter Campout stamp set. I colored the skunk, campfire, fox, and tent with Copics and die cut them using the coordinating dies. I used distress inks on Strathmore paper to create the evening sky, grassy area, and lake. The little pine trees were also cut from the inked paper. I added some water drops to the sky.

Happy Camper Oval Shaped Happy Place Card with Franci

Hello there and happy Wednesday! It's Franci here with you today with a pretty card featuring the Happy Camper stamp set and some other new goodies!

First, I die cut the largest of the new Fancy Frames Oval dies out of some kraft cardstock and created a coordinated backdrop from white cardstock. I stamped the little camper in Memento black ink, colored it with Copics, and die cut it using the coordinating dies. I then cut out lots of trees and colored them by sponging some different shades of green distress inks.

I masked the bottom of the white oval and sponged on more Distress ink to create the sky. I splattered some water onto the background and removed the excess with a towel to create more interest in the background. Then I masked the sky and created the "road" as well. 

I die cut a little banner out of some white cardstock using the little die included in the Fancy Frames Rectangle die set and stamped all of the sentiments with the same black ink used before. I glued down all of the elements using a combination of liquid glue and foam adhesive. Finally, I added some details with a white gel pen and a little bow made out of some gold twine.

Cascading Stars Night Sky Hello Card with Vanessa

Hello everybody! Vanessa here with a night sky card using the Cascading Stars stamp set. I love creating backgrounds with my ink blending tool and here I made a beautiful sky for my stars to shine on.

I first inked my cardstock panel with various blue Distress Inks and applied white ink droplets. After it was dried, I stamped and heat-embossed the stars and adhered the panel to the card. Now I die-cut the tree from the Happy Camper Dies multiple times from black cardstock and adhered them. 

Next, I inked a scrap of cardstock with light blue inks, die-cut the Hello Word Die from it, layered the word with two layers of hellos die-cut from black cardstock and adhered it.

Happy Camper Ink Smooshed Background Happy Place Card with Juliana

Hello friends! It's Juliana Michaels here today to share a bit of happiness with a card I created using the new Happy Camper stamp set. The adorable little camper is sure to take you to your happy place!

I started this card by stamping the adorable camper from the the Happy Camper stamp set using Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black. I then colored the image using Chameleon Pens and I die cut it using the coordinating dies.

Next, I created the background using an ink smooshing technique. To do this, I smooshed Distress Oxide Ink in Twisted Citron onto a craft mat and spritzed it with a bit of water. I then took an A2 size piece of white cardstock and smooshed it into the ink on the craft mat. I lifted it up and dried the ink with my heat gun. I then repeated the process once again. I also took a paint brush and flicked a few splatters of ink onto the paper as well. I then took the largest die from Fancy Frames Rectangle dies and die cut the ink smooshed paper.

I stamped the sentiment directly onto the background with black ink. I then adhered the camper using double sided foam tape for bit of dimension. To finish off the card, I adhered a few sequins.
