Guest Designer Spotlight: Spring Cards with Kay Miller

I'm so excited to welcome another guest to the blog today, the amazing Kay Miller!!!  Many of can probably recognize her adorable style before even seeing her name.   I love every creation she makes and am honored that she's here sharing her talents with us.  Take it away Kay...

Hello! I am so excited to share a couple of cards made with the adorable new spring stamps from Sunny Studio Stamps!

On my first card I used the cute new  A Good Egg stamp set. I colored everything with Copic markers and fussy cut them out. They have matching dies available, but I didn't have them for this card. For my background I blended some Salty Ocean and Cracked Pistachio Distress Ink onto watercolor paper and sprinkled with water. When that was dry, I cut it out with a stitched rectangle die. I then stamped the sentiment in black ink, added the little paper patterned border to the bottom, and adhered this stitched panel to an A2 top folded white card base.

My next card features a super cute stamp set called Backyard Bugs. It has some really cute sentiments in it as well as adorable little critters! I watercolored the background with some Peerless watercolors to create a sky for my little scene. The grass is cut out of some patterned paper and glued down to the watercolored panel. All of the stamps were colored with Copic markers, fussy cut out, and adhered with foam tape. I stamped the sentient on a banner and adhered it and the whole panel to a white card base.

  1. These cards looks fabulous. You are so right, you can look at a card made by Kay without her name being posted and know who created it. Her work is very distinctive and these sweet cards are no exception. Fantastic and happy! :>)
